Petra knocked on the door, swallowing her anxiety.

“Come in.”

She entered the small room with the taupe walls and colorful abstract artwork. Four comfortable brown leather club chairs were arranged in the center of the room around a central coffee table. When she had first walked into this room two years ago, she had been surprised that a psychologist/sex therapist’s office like Sara’s looked so normal and comfortable.

“Petra, it’s good to see you.”

“Yes, it’s been a while.” They saw each other in the club, but in a professional manner they hadn’t seen each other for six months.

“So what brings you here today?”

“Well, umm. I’m okay.” Damn, why was she suddenly so tongue-tied? This was Sara. Hell, she would’ve heard it all and then some.

“Okay, I’m currently dating, well, kind of dating two men.”

“Singly, or as a unit?”

“Unit, kind of, well, it’s obvious they’re not permanent ménage guys. But they’re together while they’re dating me. But it seems as though they want me to choose between them. But then Caleb doesn’t, he pushes me toward Kyle, but hell, I don’t know.”

“So what are you looking for me to help you with?” she asked.

“I need to know whether I should choose. I know if I give up one, I would be able to keep the other, but if I try for both I risk losing both. It may not work either way, but I just feel inside that I could have a future with them both.”

“Are they asking you to choose?”

“No, it’s only early days, but I just don’t know. I’m hopeful. It’s the first time I’ve ever felt such a deep connection. You of anyone, know how I’ve tried with different Doms, but I never felt that need to submit. I have never felt they were worthy of my submission. All these years nothing, and now I have it with two men.”

“Do your affections lean more heavily to either man?”

“That’s my problem. I have the same feelings for both, not the same but the same level. I just couldn’t choose. I want them both.”

“Then you have your answer, don’t you?”

“I suppose, but how can I get them to accept the situation?”

“You can’t. A person is either willing and able to adjust and change or not, and you know from the ménages in the club how additional people bring additional problems. You need to have very open communication in ménage relationship. Jealousy is an issue they all faced and some struggled with.”

“I know. I never would have imagined myself in a permanent ménage before I met them, and now I couldn’t imagine going back. But what do I know? The relationship may fall flat on its face in a week. It’s so early.” They both chuckled. “The other reason I wanted to see you is I’m writing a new book, and I need some counseling insight.”

“Honey, for that you could have just asked me for coffee, not on the clock.”

“You know I like on the clock, that way I don’t feel guilty.”

“Okay, shoot away.
